2.1 UCC stipulates and agrees that UCC members who paid membership fees to and obtained a company prefix or company prefixes from UCC predating August 28, 2002, have a perpetual membership in UCC, entitling them to the following basic benefits of membership: (1) the continued use and maintenance of company prefix(es) issued to them by UCC prior to August 28, 2002; (2) the inclusion of their company in the UCC Membership Directory; (3) membership support through the UCC's Customer Service organization, educational events, and Equipment/Service Provider Directories; and ( 4) UCC member discount pricing on UCC events and products (hereinafter collectively "Basic Membership Benefits"). UCC stipulates and agrees that UCC may not charge members joining prior to August. 28, 2002, any additional fees, annual or otherwise, as a condition for continued membership in UCC or for the right to Basic Membership Benefits.
2.2 UCC stipulates and agrees that company prefixes issued to UCC members by UCC prior to August 28, 2002, are the property of those members to whom the company prefixes were issued. In that connection, the License of UCC Company Prefix, which accompanied renewal invoices, is declared null and void as to UCC members described in this paragraph.
